ABOUT

He started producing youth musicals with his company Dramacube in 2012 at a range of theatres including Epsom Playhouse, The Watermans Arts Centre in Brentford, Questors Theatre in Ealing, The Exchange Theatre in Twickenham and Hampton Hill Theatre. 

In March 2019 Stephen made his professional debut as a producer with environmental musical Ellie & Starlight which enjoyed a short run at Hampton Hill Theatre.  Since then he has produced the Hampton Hill Christmas show for five consecutive years with one production also running at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton.  

London productions include Gay Pride And No Prejudice by David Kerby-Kendall (Union Theatre, 2024), Fast by Kate Barton and Stephen Bennett (Upstairs at the Gatehouse, 2024), Eurovision Your Decision by Tim McArthur (Royal Vauxhall Tavern, 2025).  

Current productions for 2026 include; Eurovision Your Decision (Royal Vauxhall Tavern), Full Throttle – Live (New Theatre Royal Lincoln) and Ellie & Starlight’s Christmas Adventure (Hampton Hill Theatre), plus a new ghost story (working title The Lifeboat) in development which will open in London.

Prior to producing Stephen worked as a jobbing actor, spending eight years touring around the UK with various productions including; The Outside (Orange Tree Room, Richmond) Flare Path (Cambridge Arts Theatre & National Tour), Taking Sides (Theatre Royal Bath & National Tour), Far from the Madding Crowd (Cambridge Arts Theatre & National Tour), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Woking), Gotcha (Half Moon, London), Any Extra’s (Grand Opera House York & National Tour).  This followed a move to the US where he undertook a directing internship with TheaterWorks in Hartford C.T. 

Having done almost every job there is to do in a theatre, including sweeping the stage, Stephen is well equipped to deal with the highs and lows of theatre producing.   .
