Our very first Christmas show at Hampton Hill Theatre was Ellie and Starlight’s Christmas Adventure.
The central characters had previously appeared on the Hampton Hill Theatre stage in 2019 in our debut production, Ellie & Starlight the Musical.
This time we saw Ellie and Starlight, but in a festive setting.
They braved the long journey to the North Pole with some very important news for Father Christmas.
The original production was based on a story written by Sarah Watson.
It was adapted for the stage by Playwright Ken Mason.
Music was by William Morris and it was Ken Mason who created the 2021 Christmas adventure.
Ellie & Starlight took a rest in 2022 and we met Hatti and her friend Pippa the Penguin.
The two characters escaped from the zoo, & travelled far and wide to reunite Pippa with her family in the South Pole.
After becoming horribly lost they required the magic of Father Christmas to get them home.
Thankfully all lived happily ever after. Hatti and Pippa’s Christmas Adventure was again penned by local playwright Ken Mason
In 2023, two mischievous little elves named Buddy & Cocoa caused all sorts of trouble in their quest to find the magic gold dust.
Eventually, they returned home to the North Pole to help Father Christmas launch his sleigh just in time. Phew!
Buddy & Cocoa’s Christmas Adventure ran at Hampton Hill Theatre from mid December until Christmas Eve.
The show also inspired the Hampton Hill Christmas trail which has been a prominent fixture for local families in the area ever since.
In The Secret that Saved Christmas, writer Ken Mason teamed up with David Kerby-Kendall with music from Nick Gates.
Together they created another wonderful show for us all to enjoy.

In 2025 we were delighted to be back for our fifth successive year with The Hampton Hill Christmas Show Millie and Snowy’s Magical Christmas Tree.
Children met Millie and her shaggy dog Snowy in our magical Christmas show.
The show sparkled with singing, dance, puppetry, magic and lots of panto-style audience participation.
This December, join us for Ellie & Starlight’s Christmas Adventure, a heart-warming magical Christmas story of a little girl’s determination to find Father Christmas and tell him that all the children in her village have had to move to a new place.
