Michael Hill, presenter of Full Throttle Live

Motorsport Awards Commentator of the Year, 2025.

Michael Hill is an accomplished presenter, broadcaster and author. He has worked within the Superbike World Championship paddock for more than 15 years and is recognised by many as the face of the Paddock Show and the voice of the series. Respected for his knowledge and popular for his unique style that brings fans into the heart of the racing action.

Aside from LIVE commentary on stage, Michael is responsible for all fan interactions within WorldSBK. He also presents a number of trackside video features and rider interviews as well as all podium ceremonies. Michael scripts and hosts the end of season gala award ceremony and has built an impressive CV that has seen him travel the globe in the paddocks of WorldSBK, MotoGP, MotoAmerica, BSB, WEC, ASBK, ARRC, ESBK, Touring Cars and F1. 

He joined the broadcast team for the MotoAmerica Championship in 2019, with his show ‘Mike On The Mic’ now an integral part of each event. He has also hosted the annual MotoFest at The Bend Motorsport Park in Australia and commentated trackside on both the ASBK and ARRC Championship races.

In recent years, Michael has been an official presenter and speaker for Shell Motorsports, working in both the MotoGP and F1 paddocks.

He is proud to be an ambassador for Two Wheels for Life. He has hosted the annual Day of Champions at the British MotoGP seven times. 

Tom Sykes

Tom Sykes won the FIM Superbike World Championship for Kawasaki in 2013. 

With 34 wins, 114 podiums and 51 pole positions he remains of the most successful riders to ever race in the series. 

A British Supersport and Superbike rider in his early days, Tom made his Superbike World Championship debut for Rizla Suzuki in 2008 before joining the factory Yamaha team in 2009. 

A switch to Kawasaki for the 2010 season began a nine year spell with the Japanese manufacturer. He fought for the title on numerous occasions and from 2012 he never place lower than fourth overall in the final standings! 

He competed for BMW in WorldSBK from 2019 before rejoining the BSB grid in 2022 with Paul Bird Ducati, taking a double win at Donington Park on his way to twelfth overall in the series. 

Having scored more than 3700 in his world championship career – he is one of the most popular Superbike racers of all time.

Michael Hill is a well-known motorsport personality. With nearly two decades of performing on stage and in front of the camera, he is widely recognised and known globally as the voice of the FIM Superbike World Championship and for his hosting of the Paddock Show. He has worked across several series including MotoGP and Formula One. He also appears regularly on the MotoAmerica Live+ streaming service where he mixes race commentary with behind-the-scenes interviews in his own inimitable style. 

From starting out as a journalist who wouldn’t take no for an answer, Michael has used his own personal on and off-track experiences to help create and deliver unique fan experiences and to highlight the work he does for the Two Wheels for Life charity – of which he is an ambassador. Through his own racing promotions business, he has also successfully managed riders for over a decade. Some hilarious stories from his childhood along with his love for Musical Theatre have shaped who Michael is today. Whether it’s crashing the first ever motorcycle he ever rode into a fence as a kid, or the time he fell off the Paddock Show stage commentating on the final lap of a race, Superbikes, The Stage and Me tells it all.
